MOVE BETTER, FEEL BETTER
Online classes take place on Zoom (free to use) on Saturdays at 10am UK time.
Drop-in for a single class. Or join a full themed course and you will also get recordings of the lesson each week to keep.
All classes are gentle and suitable for all, even if you are working with pain or injury. Ask me - and I will help you to keep comfortable. You are in charge, so you can have your camera on or off. You can use as many props as you like to feel good during class - cushions, pads, blocks, blankets, folded towels etc. I give you ideas each time.
I do really appreciate the gentleness of your classes. A two way thing, dialogue, knowing that you are responding to us. | NS
Therapeutic. Essential. You don't know how much you need them until you take the first class. Thank you for creating a space and community for those of us who have for reasons various have neglected our bodies! | AS
The sessions are brilliant. I especially enjoy the humour, for it helps me relax, and the clarity with which instructions are issued, which is no mean feat. | AS
The thing that has been a most welcome surprise is the body positivity that the sessions have inspired in me. I have always been very conscious of the way I look and had never known myself to be content with my body, until my sessions with Julie encouraged me to affirm and celebrate it. | AS
Through the sessions, I have become aware of how my body is carrying the burden of stress and how to combat it. I especially enjoy the full body scans that bookend the sessions as they make me perceptive of the subtle changes that my body has experienced during the course of the session. | AS
I have couple of orthopaedic problems that I find Feldy invaluable for, as a body re-learning experience… And, it is a good option for an activity for me to do, with having CFS / ME, as it is so gentle and my body likes the rests. | SB
I continue to enjoy the pace and quality of the movements. It is always wonderful to tune in to little unexpected body awareness ‘aha’s! My hips felt 20 years younger after the class where my feet were rolling on my water bottle! I've really enjoyed the combination of " back to basics" classes and those involving pioneering moves. | SB
I noticed at the end of my lesson when you were commenting about the differences we may feel, I could breathe deeper and more with my diaphragm, so I felt more spacious and expansive. | HS
My inner child really enjoyed that…It's nice to do just what your body needs. | NB
In my yoga teaching I kept bringing Feldenkrais into it. Being slow, taking breaks...It has influenced a lot of what I do. It is really freeing to have that agency for myself. I don't think I have ever been to a class before where the message is do what suits you. It is really empowering...slowly breaking down perfectionism. | HS
I'd forgotten how delicious your classes are, with full permission to do whatever I want, even if that is nothing. I felt very connected to my body, my movement. Having an eye pillow helped. Feeling a gradual progression of being very comfortable, to be here and stay present. It feels like a massive achievement to be ok in my body. | HS
It went very deep. It's lovely. That internal awareness, sensory feedback…going beyond the perception of the senses. Something happens after that when you go into that real stillness…which I get in deep meditation. A beautiful class. | ML
I found the pace of the workshop perfect to be able to tune in to what my body was doing. I enjoyed the actual movements and feel much better than when I started - less pain and stiffness. Lovely relaxed and fun afternoon! | SB
Loved how the guidance and instructions helped me to stay on track in my body and not in my head and my thoughts. | MW
Even with chronic fatigue syndrome I can take part in a physical movement class and positively connect with my body. Feldenkrais has given me a new way to tune into my body and movement… with minimum effort and letting go of unnecessary tension. I always feel better after classes and my body feels more aligned and and relaxed. The classes also help with my persistent lower back pain. | JS
Feldenkrais has just made me far more aware of my body in general. The classes are gentle but powerful. It is meditation in movement for me. A great antidote to this turbulent world we live in. I look forward to the classes and notice if I miss one. | SD
