To suit beginners or returning movement experts

A course runs over a few weekly sessions. A workshop is a one-off. Each includes a carefully selected suite of lessons that I will teach around a theme. I adapt the teaching of each lesson in the moment and respond to questions from the group and my observations of the group.

The beauty of these live workshops and courses is you have the chance to interact with me. Ask your questions. Let me know how you are getting on or if we should troubleshoot together to make sure you have a good experience. And you may even learn more by hearing from the other students.

Zoom is convenient and you can arrange your own space to be comfortable and warm. If you are feeling shy you can turn off your camera and stay more private. Once we start the movement lesson, you listen to my voice, with no need to watch the screen. You soon settle down into your sensations for an immersive time-bending experience!

I give you recordings to keep for later and build your personal lesson library. This can be handy if you had to miss the live session or to revisit the material.

One-off workshops in York

Very small groups for friendly personal attention

Each workshop focuses on a single theme that can be applicable to all - beginners and returners alike. Each workshop delivers all-round body/mind movement learning as well as weaving through ideas and practices related to the theme.

Groups sizes are kept very small, so you can settle in and relax quickly and receive personal attention. You can ask questions as we go and benefit from comments and discussions with other students. I can work with you to adjust your props and maximise your comfort, including with gentle hands-on guidance if you like.


ONE-TO-ONES

A more personal, intensive way to work. To suit you.

Online with Zoom, or in my York studio

Tailored to address your hopes, challenges, interests. Support and improve other activities you do or therapies you attend. Get yourself ready to join my classes. Or deepen self-knowledge, bodily skills and awareness along with personal development.

In-person clients who see me in York also have the option of hands-on movement guidance and coaching as part of our sessions. This can be a powerfully effective way to experience new, easier ways of moving.

Online clients receive a recording of the session to keep for later use.

  • lessons can be followed out of order, you can postpone any lesson that does not suit you right now

  • when your confidence grows, go freestyle - lie down, enact a few moves from the lesson that you can remember…from there follow your own thread of discovery as you develop the movements in any way that pleases you
