Focus on your own situation & goals

When you work with me one-to-one, we can focus on you and your own situation, adapting as we go. You are likely to make quicker progress with your movement or mind/body challenges or goals.

You can ask questions. This may help you retain more of what we have done so you can put it into practice at other times in your life.

How long shall I keep coming?

You know the answer… It depends!

It depends on you - how you like to learn, your time, money, interest in this work and everything else going on for you.

It can be a short-term or long term choice - both with their own benefits.

Short term

Come once, twice or three times, to get an initial impression of this work.

Then you might choose to move onto a group class or self-study, or return for a very occasional one-to-one top-up.

Long term

If you come more regularly, we can set up a joint investigation (you and me) into a challenge you are working with.

Together, we will set up the conditions and play with movement patterns for you to:

  • refine your skills of self-care and deepen your self-knowledge

  • hone your sensory acuity and bodily awareness…which provides nourishing information to your sensory-motor system

  • explore novelty as a key ingredient of neuroplasticity to bring about improvements or changes

  • find how to let your weight be carried more fully by your skeleton and the ground…and a little less by your hard-working muscles

  • invite co-operation of all the various places of your body into movement - those places you already know about and others you have no idea even exist

  • feel sensations of lightness and smoothness in motion
