3 hour mind-body exploration – includes 3 awareness through movement lessons, short break and refreshments

What happens

Go deeper and luxuriate with three hours of nourishing movement.

We will use minimum effort with maximum curiosity to focus on one theme. Yet your whole self will feel greater ease.

You will lie on mats on the floor and be guided through movement explorations. The teacher will help everyone be comfortable and answer questions about the method and why it works to improve mobility and well-being.

For all ages and abilities. I can prepare accessible variations if you let me know of any difficulties.

This workshop will give you an unhurried way to explore this practical and effective movement and well-being method. You will be given handouts, so you can play with the lessons at home.

You will feel greater vitality as you get a taste of how to use your body and mind in an entirely new way. You will learn how to:

  • melt away muscle tension

  • relieve pain

  • move with more ease, comfort and skill

  • inhabit your body in the moment

  • know yourself better

  • find calm

  • discover new possibilities for moving, learning and living

About the theme…

Move from your centre, spread the load

We will explore the movability of all areas of our centre - our spine and pelvis. As we start to find how to distribute movements along the whole spine and into the pelvis, the areas that are overworked will give up their effort as unused parts start to join in.

Expect to feel reduced strain in 'busy' parts of the spine, like the neck and lumbar / low back. Peripheral areas like elbows and wrists will gain more support when your centre is more integrated. Your whole self will feel greater ease.

We will include 'classic' lessons like 'Spine Like a Chain' and 'Pelvic Clock'. We will put it all together with a more complex lesson to explore rotation or one that take us effortlessly rolling from our backs to sitting up.
